Summary: The African American Community
Empowerment Organization will prepare homeless youth and adults for the
job market with resume/application development, media skills (i.e.,
camera work, editing, writing), computer training, preparation for GED,
and vocational English instruction. This project will stress the importance
of a good attitude to raise for raising participant’s self-esteem.
Professionals within the community will provide counseling in a pro bono
arrangement. Transportation will also be provided to pick up residents
from shelters and other areas when necessary. |
