Did you know you can use your credit card to pay your benefit overpayment? It's easy and convenient if you have one of the following credit cards:

  • American Express
  • Discover/NOVUS
  • MasterCard

  • You may make your payment by telephone or on-line. Official Payments Corporation charges a convenience fee of 2.5 percent of the amount charged above $40. For charge amounts of $1 to $40 the convenience fee will be $1.

    Telephone:

Call toll-free 1-888-2PAYTAX (1-888-272-9829), enter the jurisdiction code 1577, and follow the recorded instructions. (You need a touch-tone telephone.)

    On-Line:

    Pay on-line at www.officialpayments.com

Have your payment information on hand when you are ready to make your payment (payment amount, SSN, home phone, credit card number, expiration date, etc.).

Official Payments Corp. is not under the control of EDD, and the EDD is not responsible for the contents of their Web site or any links contained in their Web site. The EDD recommends that you review the security and confidentiality statements of Official Payments Corp.
