Greetings to all who have gathered for the Silver Anniversary of the Media Access Awards. I congratulate those being honored and join you in paying tribute to the pioneers who developed this program more than 25 years ago.

Thank you for your fantastic work to ensure that people with disabilities are well-represented in the media and entertainment industries. Equal opportunity is a crucial component of California's rich heritage, and tonight we recognize the professionals who understand that people living with disabilities are valuable contributors to our state.
