Purpose: The Business Liaison Subcommittee will:

• Engage California's business associations and professionals to formulate strategies to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
• Help employers remove barriers to allow them to hire, retain and promote people with disabilities.
• Interact with employers, educators, and trainers to bring about changes in school curriculum.
• Raise employers' awareness about the tremendous opportunity to sustain their workforce by drawing from a pool of qualified and job ready individuals.

Goal A1 - Remove the barriers which employers face in hiring people with disabilities, e.g. misconceptions regarding cost and accommodations, workers compensation and discrimination claims.

Goal A2 - The business community is equipped with practical information and tools necessary to build their workforce inclusive of people with disabilities, e.g. employer incentives, labor market information.
