CONTRIBUTION RATE:

Approximately 13 million California workers pay a mandatory contribution to the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program for disability insurance coverage. Your contribution is paid through a payroll deduction.

Please see the current State Disability Insurance Contribution Rate on the Tax Rate and Withholding Schedules.

The State Disability Insurance (SDI) Contribution Rate for 2008 is 0.8%. The SDI taxable wage limit is $86,698 per employee for calendar year 2008.

If you have questions regarding the contribution rate and you are filing a claim or have a current claim with SDI, please contact your local SDI office.

If you are an employer and have questions about the contribution rate, please contact your local Employment Tax Office.
